Every now and again, we’ll get an unusual but really cool request. This one was for 3 (but we made four) simple dice about 3 inches square for a quilter. These dice are used to randomly select patterns and pieces to create quilts that don’t follow a standard and create some very interesting combinations.

These are relatively simple 3x3x3 cubes of Hemfir, a designation for generic framing lumber harvested from forest with Hemlock and Douglas Fir trees, sanded smooth with beveled edges and a simple wipe-on polyurethane finish.
